Science Fun 1st November

Today, we started our new Science topic, Light and Shadows.

We began by sharing what we already know about light and then we challenged ourselves to make the classroom as dark as possible. It was amazing just how many sources of light we discovered and had to turn off in order for the room to get darker. 

We sorted different objects into light sources and reflectors and discovered what makes them different.

We were fascinated to see what a great job a light source can do of lighting up a reflector and we discussed the many safety benefits of weraing refectors, particularly in the Winter when it gets dark early.
